When Waleed Coyote approached me with the idea of doing an album that brought together Palestinian and Jewish artists, his notion was that his people had to chill and my people had to build. I got goose bumps. We are a time when peace is such a premium that we are at the point of killing children. This war between the Palestinian and Jewish community has got to stop. We must be able to understand and respect each other and live in peace in the holy land. We can no longer afford to be separated by our religion, for we are all children of G-d. We are all here for just a small period of time, so why waste it with war? All the artists that have come together in this project and process see that. We need your help to make our stance known and heard. All the artists involved with these recordings have donated their time, energy, effort, and music for this project. I personally view this as a gift for me to be amongst these forward thinkers and great artists. 100 percent of the proceeds of this project are going to several orphanages in the Middle East that are trying to find homes for children who have lost their familiest in the war. Some of them were killed for just going out to shop. Some gave their lives in the pursuit of peace. Some of them were just thrown into the fists of war and did not know why.
Thank you for supporting this project and shout out to my G, Waleed Coyote for coming into my life. You are a light my dude and you make everyone around that much brighter. Thank you to Y-Love and Saz, it is great to have your work a part of this. To Mazzi aka Soul Purpose, you are a trooper young gunner; Sneakas Thank you as well. To Noose for not only a great song and message but a powerful video (Check you Tube). To my Detroit Camp, Kiss Productions and Hellavah. Hellavah, what can I say. I have not been that open on a track in a very long time. You are so talented and such a great dad, I wish nothing but great things for you. Thank you. To M.L. You are my brother from another mother, real talk. The time and effort you gave to this project, in the midst of all you were going through was just amazing. I love you brother and I hope that this mitzvot makes you as proud as I am. I loved being in the lab with you and hope we can do it again.
Love is love to all of you for supporting this worth cause.
